Wow, time is really flying by! Since we returned from spring break, Ag students have been busy.
We were lucky enough to have West Welding Academy visit our school and show us how to TIG weld! These welders were the real deal and students were very excited to learn from the professionals.
Kendra, Cierra and Aubrey made the trip to the capital in downtown Denver to serve dinner to our state governor and numerous legislators. They spoke about the importance of FFA and agriculture as they served up a delicious steak dinner! A huge shout out to the Logan County Cattlewomen’s for putting on the supper.
This spring students have been in the shop working on various projects including horseshoe welding projects, cattle panels, and building sprinklers out of PVC.
The beef reproduction class has spent many afternoons outside practicing A.I.!!
Wyatt B. forgot boots and was not about to get his white shoes dirty during repro class.
The busyness of spring only continues!
On April 6th, students competed in District CDEs and we are currently preparing for the state contests held in Fort Collins on May 1-2nd! Zoey Sneed was the high individual for the FBM contest at the district level!
Our Advisory Committee is scheduled to interview hopeful Chapter Officer Candidates on April 15th. Good luck to all students running!
We will also host our annual banquet on May 5th to acknowledge FFA members’ accomplishments! May 6-7th interested students will travel to Gillette, WY for a welding contest! Good luck welders!
