Good evening, our last outing had our volleyball teams playing Briggsdale.  The Jr. high won 2 of their  three matches (C,B,A).  The "A"  team went down to the wire with them winning the third set 15-13.  The high school did not come away with a match win but the Varsity came out with an exciting  first set win,  later losing the match in 4.  The Jr. High boys football continued to play well and had a big team win over Briggsdale.   Tomorrow, Oct 3, kicks off homecoming week.  Student council has planned many activities for a fun and spirit filled week.  Check out the Website or App's live feed for more details.  The Jr. High boys have a game with Otis tomorrow at 4:00.  There WILL NOT BE A HS JV GAME.   Thursday we will host Weldon Valley for the Volleyball homecoming game and a Jr. high football game.   The pep rally was moved up so we will be able to start the Jr. High "C" game at 3:15 followed by the "B" and then the Jr. High "A" match.  After the Jr. high last game and before the High school start their warm-up, we will have a mini VB game which will feature 2 Prairie elementary teams playing each other.  This will have a 15 min. time limit.  The high school will then play a JV and Varsity match. There is  NO HS "C".   The Jr. High boys football will start at 4:00.   Friday there will be a bonfire in New Raymer behind the elevator.  The evening will start with the Lions hosting and Student Council helping to serve Chili, hotdogs, and cinnamon rolls at 6:00 p.m..  The FFA are running a cornhol tournament with the proceeds to benefit Sherry Picciano also starting at 6:00 p.m.  The bonfire will be lit at 7:00 with the Crew providing a spirit filled agenda which has rumors of including a snake dance and DJ.  Saturday, is the Homecoming football game with Branson/Kim starting at 1:00 p.m.   There will be a mini football game prior to the game featuring 2 elementary flag football teams starting at 12:15 p.m. with them playing one 15 minute period.  Of course the coronation will take place at half time.  The dance will take place at the school; 7:30-11:30 for 8-12  grade students.   We hope that all alumni and community members will join us for these activities and show our school and community spirit!!  BIG BOLD; BLACK AND GOLD!!  GO MUSTANGS

There seems to be some confusion about the games with Otis. Tomorrow is ONLY volleyball; Jr. high B and A and HS JV and Var. The games start at 4:00 pm at Otis On Oct 3, we will host the Jr. high Otis football team at 4:00. There was to be a high school JV football game but it was canceled today because of not having enough players. So on Oct. 3rd there will only be a jr. high football game.

Our Mustangs ended the week with some great wins! Thursday at Peetz the Jr. High Boys FB had a good win against a tough Peetz crew. The Jr. High Girls VB worked hard to get wins at all levels to make it a clean sweep against a competitive Peetz team. The HS VB ladies finished the night off with a win also. Friday had the same results, another sweep for the mustangs; both the HS Football and the HS volleyball walked away with impressive victories! Nice Work Mustangs! On Tuesday, Sept 27 the Jr. High volleyball (B and A) and HS volleyball (JV and Var) will travel to Otis. The Jr. High B game will start at 4:00 pm all others will follow. On Thursday, Sept. 29 we will host Briggsdale Jr. High volleyball (C,B,A) , Jr. High football, and HS volleyball (JV, Var). The JH "C"VB will start at 3:15 (note change in time). With the other VB matches to follow. The JH FB will start at 4:00 pm. Our HS football has a bye this week . On Monday, Oct. 3 we will host Otis Jr. High FB at 4:00 pm with HS JV football to follow at 5:30 pm. Homecoming Week is Oct. 3-Oct. 8. More details soon! This message also went out in email format.
