The library has a very exciting week coming up!! Scholastic book fair will open December 13th-18th. December 18th, we will also be excited to have the Sway Coffee Truck coming to our school. Sway Coffee Truck will be serving drinks to kick off a day of Lattes & Literature! Please come support Sway Coffee Truck and read with your student! You will have the opportunity to shop the Scholastic book fair too! If you have sponsored a class for drinks, please get those funds to Mrs. Hickey in the office. Can't wait to see all of you!

Project Secret Santa is underway! Students in grades 6-12 have drawn names and should be purchasing a gift in the price range of $10. Gifts need to be to school by Thursday, December 14th. Middle school gifts need to be placed under the trees by the 6th grade room, and high school gifts should be placed under the trees outside the English room. Please label the gifts with the recipient's name only! If there are any concerns, please contact Mrs. Dollerschell.

The first knowledge bowl of the season was a good one! We competed in the Akron Invitational meet and took on over twenty teams from all classifications. Prairie's high school team WON FIRST PLACE and our junior high team placed 9th. These kids are amazing!

A surprise Fall Appreciation event, hosted by Prairie's new booster club, Mustangs With A Mission, was well-received by teachers and staff last week!

6th grade has been learning about weather, focusing on hail the last week. Yesterday and today they had to design a device to protect a pretend car from hail. It had to be able to fit inside the cars trunk.
