Our own Brock Dollerschell has been running cross country for Merino. He has continued to run personal bests at each meet. Friday, September 11, Brock Dollershell finished in a season best 19th place, an 11 place improvement from last week. His time of 19:29.1 was the best of his career as well.

8th Grade Ag is learning about the Dairy Value Chain. The first step in Dairy production is feeding cattle. Today they were detectives in observing silage, ground corn, hay, ground hay and a few other products. They also learned how different feed ratios are mixed while comparing nutrients to their own diets.

Freshman have had a busy week! They have begun learning the second paragraph of the Creed! They learned yesterday what the different parts of the emblem represent, how to tie a tie, and today we discussed Official FFA Dress. Students drew the proper way to wear “it” in chalk and developed expectations while in the “jacket”! Here is what they came up with: being respectful, compassionate, helping where and whenever, clean, professional, and the best humans they can!
